Description
This iconic rod lamp is based on the design of J.J.M. Hoogervorst for ANVIA in the early 1950s. The rod lamp is one of the most famous ANVIA fixtures from the last century.
ANVIA stands for Algemeene Nederlandsche VerlichtingsIndustrie Almelo
Jan Hoogervorst is one of the greatest mid-century designers in the Netherlands. Just like Copier, Piet Zwart and Meydam, not from a design academy, but craftsmen with an excellent sense of proportion, but also strongly Calvinistic in nature. No curl in sight and functional, design in its purest form
